It might be awhile before offices open up, and we may be working from home for quite a bit longer. While we continue to social distance and adjust, it’s tempting to operate on autopilot. Instead, let’s take some time for reflection and growth.

Start with these 6 tips.

1. Examine routines
Our new normal was born of necessity, not out of personal best practices. Are your habits and routines still working for you?

2. Remember the challenges your team has overcome
You’ve embraced online life and business in new ways. Reflect on the hurdles your team has jumped and find ways to celebrate those corporately.

3. Take the funny very seriously
Can you recall at least one meme-worthy moment from this stressful time? After all, a cheerful heart is good medicine (Proverbs 17:22).

4. It’s OK—acknowledge the fails
Lean into the inevitable #fail or two. Acknowledge them, discuss them, and create systems that avoid them in the future.

Thomas A. Edison said: "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."

5. Give yourself permission to celebrate
Since this season of isolation has begun, what have been your biggest accomplishments? Write them down, and give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back.

6. Have fun as a team
Spread encouragement with a virtual celebration. Send treats to your team or distribute silly awards via Facebook Live.
